Your plug-in work well but only if SET NAMES query work on ISP mysql database :

I have done lot of tests (because SET NAMES return an error on latin1 coded DB) – it is better to use utf8_encode() function just before echoing the result of the query : example
in function SMF_EnSonMesajlar
line 266: //$baglan->query(”SET NAMES ‘UTF8′”);
line 275: echo utf8_encode($hepsindenonce.$content.$hepsindensonra);

login/out on WP and SMF are not sync. Register are sync. Will you tell me what problem is?

Hey, I just used your plugin to set up a SMF forum to go with a WordPress blog. It does a great job. One thing that would be cool is to include a script that would create already existing WP users when the plugin is activated.

For the person who wanted to know about SMF registration creating a WP account, that was a helpful comment. We’ve disabled registration via SMF so that user have to register on the blog. (Shortly I’ll get around to changing the registration link on our theme to point to the WordPress registration page.

(We are using it at kang.vannat.se)

when I create a new user in WordPress, a new user gets created in SMF, but it isn’t the same user.

An example: I register on WordPress as:

User: TEST
Pw: abc

I can log into WordPress okay, but when I go to SMF it says “That username does not exist.”

When I look in the SMF database it has a new user but the new user is:

User: admin

I didn’t already have an admin user in the SMF database.

If I delete the user from WordPress then the “admin” user dissappears. If I try and log in with “admin” and pw: abc it does not work.

“admin” in this case is the first user registered in WP. So what appears to be the problem is that the plugin is bridging the first WP user rather than the last [or latest] user.

When i create a user in wordpress SMF makes user records but there isn’t any data in them.
In SMF Username,name,email,ipadr stay empty

Is there a way to fix this?
Any help is welcome!

using SMF 1.1.1 and wordpress 2.05

Howdy, I’m having the same problem as “Janusz — Kasım 02, 2006 saat 12.53″: the name shows up on SMF but the user count DOES NOT increase and when I try to log in as that user in SMF, I get message saying: “That username does not exist.” My demo is at http://www.edchan.ca/demo with the forum at http://www.edchan.ca/smf.
